Janette returned to Jersey in 1991 after leaving her post as translator at the British Embassy in Stockholm. In 1995, she commenced training and employment in trust and company administration at CentreTrust Ltd, where she held the posts of Company Secretary and later Business Development Officer.

Janette then moved to Chiltern (Jersey) Ltd in 2001, taking on the role of Senior Trust Manager in the company's Marine Division. Here she gained wide and specialised experience in the VAT-efficient acquisition, registration and management of superyachts, and managed a portfolio of yacht-owning structures containing some of the world's most prominent superyachts before joining Trustcorp in November 2006.

Janette became a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2003.
